    1989 335i e30m30

I am putting up my 1989 335i up on the chopping block. I have loved this car every step of the way. Put hundreds of hours into it. Dove in head first with restoring and modding it. The car has lots of money, time, sweat and tears into it and it's still not perfect in my opinion but perfect enough. I have all receipts from the work done.

    Exterior (7/10)
The car has absolutely no rust issues. It has been a California car for a good portion of its life, previously living in PNW. The exterior does have its blemishes. I have not concentrated on the exterior...I was getting there. It has typical dents and dings, the most noticeable on the hood, drivers door and passenger side rear quarter panel. It also has a nice ding on the driver side subfloor from the prvious owner hitting a rock. The rock guard also looks like dirty mayo, but is straight. My plan was to detexture it anyways. Their are small chips in the headlights and fogs as well as brake ducts. I just put on a set of alpine mirrors. It also has...
    -Shadow line trim/repainted trim
    -Euro grills
    -Yellow LaminX high beams
    -Euro plate filler
-US ellipsoids with 9005 100w bulbs
    -MHW All Reds
    -Custom fabricated skid plate
-I have one full wheel painted white (used as a test) and the spare bottlecap is somewhat mangled

    Interior (8/10)
The interior is in great shape but is plane jane. The dash has a small 1 inch crack near the air vent. Also, the gas gauge is wacky and the drivers side map pocket has a broken tab. Otherwise the interior is clean and always served its purpose. Modifications are...
    -MOMO wood shift knob
    -Black door pulls
    -Tweeter pods
    -JL Audio components in rear
    -Alpine speakers up front
    -JL Audio Tweeters
    -JL Audio amp
    -Sony head unit
    -Removed trunk tar
    -Sound/heat deadening throughout cab
    -Update
-Full clean tan IS interior added 10/5!

    Drivetrain (8/10)

Some of you have followed, but for those who did not this car has a rebuilt m30b35 from a '91 735i. It has everything and anything cleaned, painted replaced, resurfaced, etc etc. It was professionally built by Rob at e30MotorWerks. You can view the build thread here.

    and here

    The drivetrain includes...

    -Rebuilt 91 735i engine (m30b35)
    -Getrag 265
    -New e28 535 radiator
-Custom built/shortened 325es large flex disc driveshaft
    -New flex disc, csb
    -e34 535 ecu
    -z3 shifter
-m3 trans crossbrace with new mounts
    -All new timing components
    -All new shifter bushings
    -Shot-peened rods
    -Honed and decked block
    -New rings, bearings
    -Micropolished crank
    -New gaskets all around
-New water pump, thermostat, thermo housing
    -Rebuilt injectors
    -Custom built engine mounting arms
    -AKG poly engine mounts
    -635 exhuast manifold
-Custom welded exhaust with magnaflow muffler and single tip

    Suspension/Brakes (9/10)

The stance on this car just looks mean, which is why I fell in love with it. Almost everything has been refreshed. What most likely needs to be dealt with is rear subframe mounts. The list goes as follows...

    -Intrax springs
    -Billy sports
    -Poly rear shock mounts
    -New control arms
    -THR cabs
    -SS brake lines
    -Brembo rotors
    -Axxis Ultimate pads
-New 95 M3 Steering rack w/ all new bushings
-New tires...Can't remember the brand (JustTire Special)

I will update if I find anything I have forgotten. I am not looking to make tons of money on this, it was a labor of love. As I've stated, I'm not sure if I want to sell quite yet, but if someone entices me with the price I'm looking for I'd be more tempted. Please be respectful and keep the comments to a minimum or at least positive. Thanks for checking it out and shoot me a PM is you are SERIOUS about buying. Thanks!

    PRICE : SOLD

Very nice work! I'd be very interested, but I need to dump a cabrio or 2 to make room for a "big block" coupe.

Good luck with your sale. Don't give the car away, I'd like a shot at it later on.

I won't give the car away...in fact if someone manages to come up with funds for this, they might have to pry the brand new keys from my rigor mortis filled hands :)
