Mineral oil has to be thoroughly flushed before converting as it does not get along with r134 at all. I'm not exactly sure what the results are but I do know they are bad.

Ding ding ding...it's for the AC. Pins 40 and 41 on the ecu both have blue/white wires. One goes to the "AC control switch" the other to the low pressure switch. Its one of the other as I read it

Yes you can swap in a 51 but keep in mind that the 84 318 weighs 23xx lbs...
