dumb question, I want to replace all of the fuses in both my cars with something similar to the OEM fuses.

Assuming you have a place to park/work on the car, and since you can't drive it, now is a great excuse to pull the head and replace it...

My guess, OP is talking about the auxiliary fuse box or the fuse box cover.

Neither require electrical tape or replacement for the car to be fine running.
