m52b28 base timing table?

Hey everyone, I finally have my wiring completed, verified sensors work, etc. I have everything setup in tunerstudio for full sequential fuel and coil on plug ignition and ready to test fire the car today.

What I am trying to make sure I have correct now is an ignition advance table. I am pretty sure I understand how to tune for fueling currently, and plan on using the auto tune feature for that to get an initial point based on target AFR. What I don't know at the moment is what to do for the ignition table. Is there a good way to get a base set in there quickly? Does anyone have the stock ignition map for an m52b28? I have been searching for that, but I really can't confirm if what I am looking at is what I need or not.

Here is my old stuff: https://drive.google.com/folderview?...lM1bURSRnFQZlU

Mostly e85 ignition tables, but at least one pump gas one for NA engine.

I can post you stock m52b28 ignition map also, but it doesn't help you because stock ecu is maf based and you are running map based. So you would need to know which map reading corresponds to which load in stock map. The ignition map in that drive folder is close enough proximation of that.

Thanks for posting those. I hadn't realized that the ignition table would be different for MAF vs MAP based tunes...I was suggested by someone over at bimmerforums that I might try one of these maps as a reference point from the new plug and play ms3pro units: http://www.megasquirtpnp.com/mspnpp_maps.php

Any issue using these as a starting point either? I just want to start off with the best safe starting point to a) get the motor running, and b) start the tuning process.

The m50b28 pump gas ignition map in my drive folder should be fairly safe starting point because as I said, it's made based on m52b28 stock ignition map and we did hoon the car quite a lot using that map. Without engine problems. It's missing boost side of the map, because engine was NA but that needs to be tuned by experienced tuner in dyno anyways so it doesn't matter really.

Awesome. Thanks so much for sharing that.

Can anyone take a look at this log file and tune to see if I am missing something? I can't get the car to fire at all even though I almost had it going at noon.

MS3x running full sequential injection on my m52b28 with 60lb injectors.

Pazi88, I looked at the tune you suggested using as a basis, but I kept getting errors since it looks like the tune was for ms2?

edit: I don't know how to upload the log file apparently...
